Hemp plastic by Plasticana

As a part of a partnership between the agglomeration of Grand Troyes and the company Plasticana, pioneer in the use of hemp plastic for the production of shoes, 3rd year students at École Supérieure de Design de Troyes (the Troyes School of Design), had the chance to think up future uses of this innovative material.

The design student’s work has worked to highlight the versatile and dynamic angle of hemp plastic (mild PVC with 30% hemp). Numerous objects originate out of this collaboration: garden furniture, belts, baskets, bike accessories, and adjustable storage units.
The work of the students from Troyes design school opens up new horizons, by placing the hemp in the heart of the designs not only practical but also most importantly aesthetic.

The exhibition of the work can be found at PREMIERE CLASSE trade show in hall 1
